Today, California State Senator Melissa Melendez (R- Lake Elsinore) announced the honoring Cindy Warren as the 2020 Woman of the Year for Assembly District 67.
“I am truly honored to finally recognize Cindy Warren as the 2020 Woman of the Year for Assembly District 67. Her tireless dedication to our community throughout her adult life is truly telling by her many selfless acts. While COVID-19 may have delayed this announcement, Cindy’s efforts to help businesses in our community and the youth of our region should not go unnoticed. Her selfless commitment to helping student athletes achieve the goals of going to college is truly worthy of our praise and celebration.”
Cindy Warren serves as an ambassador for the Murrieta/Wildomar Chamber of Commerce and is very involved in helping promote new businesses in the community. Her and her late husband, John, established Junior Amateur Golf Scholars “JAGS,” a 501 © 3 non-profit for public benefit organization, in the year 2000 as a nationally ranked junior golf tour. For over 14 years, they have organized and ran monthly 36 and 54-hole nationally ranked junior tournaments and served over 5,000 junior golfers from around the state where all net proceeds are donated back as college scholarships, golf equipment, golf lessons, golf camps, entry fees or travel/hotel expenses.
Cindy Warren was selected as the Woman of the Year by then Assemblywoman Melissa Melendez earlier this year for Assembly District 67. Due to the impacts of the COVID pandemic and Assemblymember Melendez’ transition to the State Senate, this honor was delayed. Cindy Warren is an exceptional member of the community and is well-deserving of being recognized as this year's 2020 Woman of the Year for Assembly District 67.
